Performative installation, 2002
A kind of primitive housing made from recycled building materials. The interior of the cube is covered by textile with wallpaper patterns which comes out of the cube like a membrane that is turning inside out. The real interior of this construction is situated between the internal faces of the strong part and those of the textile part, and we never have access to it. When we think we are inside we are immediatly expelled by the membrane turning inside out. We never go in this “house”, we always stay outside of it.
It is an architecture that penetrates itself and comes out of itself, uninhabited, uninhabitable. This denies the sense of architecture and therefore its potential occupants.
Situated in the internal courtyard of the National Museum of Montenegro, its museum guards activate the mechanism of cables and pulleys allowing the membrane to come in and go out continuously.

Une sorte de logement primitif, fait de matériaux de construction recyclés. L'intérieur du cube est couvert de textile aux motifs de papier peint, qui sort du cube comme s'il était retourné. Le véritable intérieur de cette construction se trouve entre les parois de la partie solide et celle de la partie textile, et on n'y a jamais accès. Lorsqu'on pense être à l'intérieur on est aussitôt expulsé par la membrane qui se retourne. On n'entre jamais dans cette "maison", on en reste toujours à l'extérieur.
C'est une architecture qui se pénètre et sort d'elle-même, inhabitée, inhabitable. Cela nie le sens même de l'architecture et donc ses habitants potentiels.
Située dans la cour intérieure du Musée National du Monténégro, ses gardiens manipulent le mécanisme de câbles et de poulies qui permettent à la membrane d'entrer et de sortir, continuellement.
